Sunder Nagar · New Delhi
A quiet address in the middle of Delhi.
Fourteen rooms, a walled garden and a kitchen that cooks all day, held inside a 1947 bungalow a few minutes from Khan Market and Lodhi Gardens.
The House
Built as a family home in 1947. Still run like one.
The Meridian House occupies a bungalow on a quiet lane in Sunder Nagar, one of the first garden suburbs laid out in Delhi after Partition. For three decades it belonged to a family of printers; the terrazzo floors, the jackfruit tree in the courtyard and the wide first-floor verandas are all still here.
We kept the house and added fourteen rooms, a small kitchen that cooks from morning until late, and a garden where breakfast is served until noon. There is no lobby in the usual sense — you arrive into a sitting room, and someone will bring you tea while your room is prepared.
Rooms & Suites
Fourteen rooms, no two laid out the same.
Each room is named after a tree in the garden. All of them have a king bed, a desk you can actually work at, and windows that open.
